23High Speed Rail (Crewe - Manchester) Bill: Report from Examiners
The Speaker laid upon the Table a Report from the Examiners of Petitions for Private Bills, as follows:
(1) the Secretary of State for Transport deposited a certificate in the Private Bill Office on 12 April, pursuant to Standing Order 224A(5), stating that all the comments on the environmental statement relating to the High Speed Rail (Crewe - Manchester) Bill, deposited on 24 January, were received by the independent assessor by 11 April;
(2) the Examiners instructed the independent assessor to prepare the report required under Standing Order 224A(6)(a)(i) by 6 June; and
(3) before setting the period in paragraph 2, the Examiners consulted the Secretary of State for Transport, pursuant to Standing Order 224A(6)(iv).
